The starter becomes your first playable partner, regional gacha adds owned Pokémon, and rescue events can add a rescued Pokémon. A legendary defeat record is separate from owning that legendary.
What to do
- Find your target in the Pokédex and read its region and acquisition routes.
- Select that regional banner for ordinary collection pulls.
- Complete rescue escorts safely when offered.
- For shiny collection, defeat or pull an eligible shiny and check the recorded variant.
- Check owned collection rather than the list of defeated legends.
Numbers & conditions
Gacha draws write owned status. The rescue collection chance is 1 in 5 on a successful escort. In this pinned source, ordinary legendary defeats write legends, while owned and shiny collection follow their separate write paths.
Common mistakes
Do not infer a capture from a Bond, arena medal or defeat achievement. Check whether the target has an available sprite and belongs to the actual banner pool.
