How to play PokéSurvivor in Chinese: PC, Android and iPhone

The original game offers English and Spanish. This Wiki’s Chinese pages do not translate its iframe. For Chinese inside the original game, choose the community display patch with a supported browser manager, or the separately maintained Windows launcher/extension, then open pokesurvivor.com directly.

Three different language layers

The original author’s guide says the game selects English or Spanish from the browser language and lets you change it in Settings. Our Chinese Wiki, Pokémon names and calculators are a separate reference layer; choosing 中文 here does not add an internal game language.

Kai5106’s unofficial Traditional Chinese display patch was checked on October 15, 2026: version 1.3.3, updated October 14, under MIT. It translates DOM text and canvas drawing/measurement, with Chinese font handling. Newly added game text may remain untranslated. It is Traditional Chinese, not an original-author Simplified Chinese release.

Version 1.3.3 lists pokesurvivor.com and the different, unhyphenated pokesurvivor.org in its matching rules; it does not list our poke-survivor.org. Its code also limits eligible game-entry paths. Use the original game directly below rather than assuming that this Wiki or an embedded frame has been patched.

Windows Chrome or Edge: userscript method

Use Tampermonkey’s official site to reach the store for your browser and install the manager. Keep the patch installation and the game in that same browser profile.
Check execution permission. Tampermonkey 5.3+ on Chrome-based browsers requires Allow User Scripts or Developer Mode. Chrome 138+ exposes Allow User Scripts in the extension details; follow the official Q209 Chrome/Edge instructions for the applicable alternative.
Open Kai5106’s patch release page, choose Install this script, and confirm the installation in the manager. Opening a page of source code alone is not confirmation that the script is installed.
Open pokesurvivor.com directly and reload. Check that the patch is enabled for the game, then look in the game’s Settings for the patch status/version. Do not install duplicate copies through two managers or an extension and a manager.
If text stays unchanged, inspect the manager toggle, site permissions, game domain and patch version before reinstalling. Disable this script and reload to return to the original text; clearing the game’s storage is not part of this method.

Android: Firefox and Tampermonkey

Mozilla’s listing explicitly supports Firefox for Android. This is a browser display patch, not an Android APK, and desktop Chrome’s unpacked-extension instructions should not be copied to every Android browser.

Install Firefox, open the Mozilla Tampermonkey listing in Firefox and install the manager, confirming the permissions shown there.
In the same Firefox browser, open the patch release page and install the script through Tampermonkey’s confirmation screen.
Open pokesurvivor.com in Firefox; reload if it was already open. Confirm the enabled script/status, allow screen rotation and play in landscape with touch controls.
Use that Firefox manager to check updates or disable the script, then reload the original game. Keep the game’s existing site data while troubleshooting.

iPhone or iPad: Safari and Userscripts

The Userscripts developer’s README recommends iOS 15.1 or later; the App Store listing read on October 15 lists iOS/iPadOS 15.0 or later. Check the current store and developer requirements rather than treating these as a device test by this website. Menu wording varies with iOS.

Recent Userscripts versions provide a default script directory; older versions ask you to select one. Its installation documentation accepts a Safari URL whose path ends in .user.js, or a .user.js file saved in the chosen directory.

Install Userscripts from the App Store, open it once and confirm the directory used to save and load scripts.
Enable the extension in system Safari settings or Safari’s page/extension menu. Grant the permissions needed on the patch installation page and the original game.
In Safari, open the patch page and its Install this script link. When the code page opens, open Safari’s page menu → Userscripts and complete the Install prompt; viewing the code is not the final installation step.
Open pokesurvivor.com directly in Safari, allow the game-site permission if asked and reload. Check the patch status/version. Allow rotation, turn the device landscape and hide the toolbar if your Safari menu offers it.
For updates, check the manager’s available-update view and the patch release page; behavior depends on the Userscripts version and script metadata. To undo, toggle this script off and reload. Do not delete game data or install an Android APK as an iPhone solution.

Alternative: Windows launcher v1.0.0

q86865511’s independent project injects Kai5106’s translation; it is not a second translation team or an official game client. Its v1.0.0 release provides a Windows x64 package.

The launcher fetches and caches the latest patch at startup and checks its own GitHub Releases for updates. Cached translation while offline does not establish that the game, accounts or co-op work offline. The author warns that Google may reject sign-in inside the embedded browser: use the game’s account/password route or guest mode as appropriate. It does not promise to import another browser’s guest progress.

Open the project’s v1.0.0 release and download PokeSurvivor-zh-win32-x64.zip.
Extract the entire folder and run PokeSurvivor-zh.exe from that folder; do not take only the executable.
Use the launcher’s Help → Check updates (說明 → 檢查更新) when needed. To stop using it, close it and reopen the original site in your browser; preserve existing game data and use the same cloud identity if you need its saved progress.

Alternative: unpacked Chrome/Edge extension

This method uses the project’s bundled patch without Tampermonkey. Unlike the launcher, the extension does not automatically update its patch.

Download the project and open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions. Enable Developer Mode.
Choose Load unpacked and select the pokesurvivor-zh-ext folder, not the launcher directory.
Disable any duplicate userscript copy, then open the original game and reload to check the display.
For a patch update, replace pokesurvivor-zh-ext/patch.js with the new script from its original release page and reload the extension on the extensions page. Disable/remove the extension and reload the game to undo; leave the game’s storage intact.

Updates, account boundaries and troubleshooting

The patch author describes a display-only change that keeps original-site updates, accounts and saves. It does not move progress to this Wiki, provide an account-recovery service, unlock Pokémon or replace the game’s normal login/save rules. A launcher/browser profile may have separate local data even when the same cloud account can be used.

If an update introduces untranslated words, record the game/patch version and the visible text, check the original patch page, then update by your chosen method. Userscript managers, the unpacked extension and the launcher have different update paths. Disable just the patch to compare the original display; avoid clearing site data as a first diagnostic step.

Continue from language setup to a playable plan

After opening the right game, choose a starter or a Pokémon you already own. The Chinese Wiki can take you from the first run to a named recommendation, its unlock route, legal moves and evolution cards, then a planner with explicit Bonds and an active group. It remains separate from the game’s saved collection.
