- Return to the game tab and wait briefly for rendering.
- Try lower graphics quality in a safe pause if controls still work.
- If restarting is necessary, confirm save mode first.

October 11 addressed image-memory black screens beyond one hour. October 12 addressed freezing, black screen and repeated leveling beyond 84 minutes. Those are historical reports, not a claim that every current black screen shares that cause.
Common mistakes
Clearing the game’s site data can delete local saves. In co-op, the game pauses for everyone when the host’s tab is inactive; ask the host to return to the game before reloading.
