A legendary arena is themed after one of the legend’s types. Its layout, obstacles and forced weather change the fight; dual-type legends do not always use the same arena.

28 minutes and the Judgment at 30

New rifts stop at 28:00. At 30:00, Arceus takes the run into the Ruins of Judgment. Arceus is invincible; dodge its warnings and contact instead of trying to kill it. A current rift arena can delay the transition until you return.

During the fight, legendaries join at 5-second intervals and each successive one doubles the previous HP and damage scale. These Judgment enemies give XP but no coins, tickets or held items. Ordinary enemies, random events and new rifts stop. Finish ordinary rift rewards and Bonds before 28:00.

The October 12 version used extra-time scaling after 60 minutes. The October 13 Judgment update removed that rule. The older formula remains in the dated update history; it is not the current long-run model.

What to do

  • Open the arena’s type page for its legend pool.
  • Compare attack matchup and weather together.

Numbers & conditions

There are 18 type themes. Each fight has a 120-second limit. The selected arena weather is forced for the encounter; ordinary weather checks do not operate inside it.

Common mistakes

Use the source version shown on this page when comparing old screenshots or guides.

Ruins of Judgment are a separate arena

The 18 ordinary arenas correspond to Pokémon types. The Ruins of Judgment use their own terrain theme and a 24-tile radius; they are not a nineteenth type or a selectable regional gacha arena.
